About EDC Las Vegas

History & Origins of EDC Las Vegas
Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas is the largest electronic dance music (EDM) festival in North America. EDC was created by Insomniac Events founder Pasquale Rotella and first held in 1997 in Los Angeles as a rave with about 5,000 attendees. The event moved to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in 2011 and has grown to attract over 170,000 fans per night across three nights. EDC is known for its massive production, including elaborate stage designs with fireworks, LED installations, and carnival rides, making it more of an immersive theme park experience than a traditional music festival.
